A week ago I announced that I was on a diet. For almost that whole week, I was on a diet. I was constantly hungry, irritable, and rather depressed that the weight wasn't coming off faster. No matter how perfectly I followed the diet food plan, I was left feeling hungry after each meal, and famished before the next meal came.
Levi and I are reading the Book of Mormon, and in 1 Nephi, chapter 16, Nephi breaks his bow. Everyone is upset because this is one of the major sources of food for them. Everyone but Nephi starts murmuring. Do you know why? I do. It's because they were HUNGRY! You can take a normal, rational person and turn them into monsters, simply by taking away their food!
Because of this most valuable lesson, both from my starving body, and the lesson taught in 1 Nephi, I have decided to make a change to my originial diet plan. I no longer starve myself. That is no way to live. Levi recommend that I start the day off with a nice, satisfying breakfast, then eat a much smaller lunch and dinner. I tried this today, and wow, it worked. I ate an omelette (certainly not an approved food item for my diet), and I filled it with all sorts of veggies. The meal was so satisfying that I actually wasn't hungry after, or even at lunch time. I had to force myself to eat something small for lunch. Now that it's dinner time, I'm starting to get hungy, but so thrilled that the famished feeling is no longer an hourly plague.
So it may take me a bit longer to loose all this old pregnancy weight, but big deal. If any of you make fun of me during swimming suit season, I may have to respond with a few rude comments back.

Our dinner didn't end up being small, but boy was it yummy! Smothered chicken is the best. :)
Yes, it was really yummy. Smothered chicken is the best. Levi's mom makes this dish, and when Anna was born, she made it for me. From that moment on I was hooked. I've been wanting it ever since and tonight I broke down and tried to figure out how to make it. I think it turned out okay, as Levi was by my side helping and supervising.
Also, the awful hair cut and the starving problem over the last week must be putting me in a rotten mood, as my last two blog posts have potentially violent endings.
I'm sorry you have had a rough time. I would love your figure. You are beautiful! If I were you I would shake my booty in the mirror. Hang in there:)
